Konkan Railway uses IDS to improve operations and reduce energy costs

The Konkan Railway chose IBM's Informix Dynamic Server to improve its services and cut down on redundant manual procedures so as to improve operating efficiency. "With the Railway Application Package system running on IBM software, Konkan Railway has significantly improved its ability to analyse, maintain and present data, helping to reduce the likelihood of passenger delays and cultivating better decision-making. Additionally, by automating the light-switching at stations with train arrival-departures, the system has helped cut such energy costs by approximately 20 percent," said Vijay Devnath, chief manager (IT), Konkan Railway.
Funny, in the middle of the press release there is an Oracle advertisement which talks about 'Affordable Award Winning Database Solutions...' :-)
Wouldn't it be much nicer to see an IBM sponsored advertising in the middle of the article that would talk about the cost savings that companies could achieve when selecting Informix Dynamic Server as their database platform of choice ?
Instead the IBM Marketing Strategists produce these crap advertisings that cost a lot of money while creating zero product awareness - Unbelievable (:-
