In 11.70.xC3, we added some new time series capabilities. Why would you care?

Time series are found everywhere. It is simply data that is collected over time. It could be changes in stock price and transaction volumes. It could also be reading of your house electric meter. Readings could be done every 15 minutes for example to provide a much more accurate picture of how electricity is being used. Other time series examples include weather information, network traffic, thermal readings in a large data center, and so on.

Informix 11.70xC3 and warehouse accelerator enhancements

A few weeks ago we delivered Informix 11.70xC3. Along with some other enhancements, there are three things I want to bring to your attention around the Informix Warehouse Accelerator component of the Informix Ultimate Warehouse Edition:
1) A Smart Mart Tool that can be used to generate data mart definitions from workload analysis
2) Multi-cultural support (IWA support for different locales)

Informix Support for HP-UX Itanium

Since the March announcement of Oracle dropping support for the Itanium chip from Intel,  there has been much news coverage surrounding this topic. Latest one being that HP is now suing Oracle over this issue.
