The Total Economic inpact of Informix
Submitted by jroy on September 29, 2010 - 22:39A new report is now available on the economic impact of using Informix. The study is based on a large international retailer with over 4,000 instances of Informix.
The report concludes that over a three year period, the retailer saved over $1 million dollars. The study was done in May 2010. I am convinced it would be even better if they were to do it again with Panther. You can find the report at:

SQLTRACE and improving your SQL

What about the actually number of sequential scans for an individual query? How about the average execution time of a query without running a script and using time() or timex() as part of the equation. I know I have. And until We got to informix 11.10 and above, we didn't have that opportunity, at least not natively.
